CANDLE CARE

A Beautiful Burn, From First Light to Last

Each Lennox Lark candle is thoughtfully made to bring fragrance, warmth and atmosphere to your home. A few simple care practices will help ensure a clean, even and beautiful burn throughout the life of your candle.

The First Burn

The first burn sets the foundation for those that follow. Allow the wax to melt evenly across the surface of the candle before extinguishing. This helps promote an even burn and prevents tunneling as your candle continues to be enjoyed.

Trim the Wick

Before each burn, trim the wick(s) to approximately ¼ inch. Properly trimmed wicks help maintain a steady flame and minimize excess soot and mushrooming.

Always allow the candle and wax to cool completely before trimming or relighting.

Burn Beautifully

For the best experience, burn your candle for no more than 4 hours at a time. Allow the vessel and wax to cool completely before relighting.

If the flame becomes unusually high or begins to flicker excessively, extinguish the candle, allow it to cool, trim the wick and relight.

Choose the Right Setting

Place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts, fans, open windows, curtains and other flammable materials.

Keep burning candles safely out of reach of children and pets, and never move or handle a candle while the vessel or wax is hot.

When It's Time to Say Goodbye

Discontinue use when approximately ½ inch of wax remains at the bottom of the vessel. Burning beyond this point may cause the vessel to become excessively hot.

Never Leave a Burning Candle Unattended

Always keep a burning candle within sight. Extinguish your candle before leaving the room or going to sleep, and never leave a burning candle unattended.

A Note for Homes With Pets

We know that fragrance is part of creating a beautiful home—and for many of us, so are our pets.

Candles are intended to fragrance your living space, not your pet. Burn candles in a well-ventilated area and allow pets the freedom to leave the space if they choose.

Because every animal is different, pets with respiratory conditions, fragrance sensitivities or other health concerns may require additional consideration. When in doubt, consult your veterinarian before using fragranced products in your home.

Set the Mood

Trim the wick. Strike the match. Settle in.

Let fragrance become part of the atmosphere—and enjoy the moment.
